LIABILITY WAIVER & PARTICIPANT RELEASE

Waiver Validity: One-time per participant, valid for all future Sauna Party activities unless revoked in writing.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

By signing this Liability Waiver and Release of Claims (“Agreement”), I acknowledge that I am voluntarily choosing to participate in Sauna Party experiences and assume full responsibility for my participation.

This Agreement applies to all Sauna Party activities, equipment, and services, including but not limited to mobile sauna use, cold plunge use, breathwork, movement, and wellness experiences, whether occurring at a private residence, rental property, public venue, festival, outdoor location, or other site.

By signing, I confirm that I understand the nature of these activities and accept all risks, known and unknown.

THE EXPERIENCE

Sauna Party provides mobile wood-fired sauna experiences, cold plunge tubs, guided or self-guided breathwork, yoga or movement sessions, and general wellness experiences. Some events may include optional third-party services (such as IV therapy) provided by independent vendors.

These experiences may involve extreme heat, extreme cold, rapid temperature changes, physical exertion, and environmental conditions that can affect the cardiovascular, circulatory, respiratory, and nervous systems.

I understand that my body is my responsibility at all times.

RISKS I AM CHOOSING TO ACCEPT

I acknowledge and accept that participation includes inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Extreme heat exposure

  • Extreme cold exposure

  • Rapid temperature changes

  • Cold shock, breath disruption, or panic response

  • Slipping, falling, or loss of balance on wet, icy, uneven, or outdoor surfaces

  • Burns from hot surfaces, stoves, or sauna components

  • Dehydration, overheating, or hypothermia

  • Dizziness, fainting, disorientation, or loss of consciousness

  • Cardiac stress, heart attack, stroke, or other cardiovascular events

  • Adverse reactions to breathwork, movement, or physical exertion

  • Risks associated with alcohol, cannabis, or substance use before or during participation

  • Risks associated with natural bodies of water when cold plunging in lakes or outdoor environments

  • Risks associated with third-party wellness services provided on site

I understand that Sauna Party does not provide medical care, does not assess my fitness to participate, and does not guarantee my safety.

MEDICAL RESPONSIBILITY & SELF-SCREENING

By signing, I affirm that:

  • I am physically and mentally capable of participating

  • I am not aware of any condition that would make participation unsafe

  • I am not impaired by drugs or alcohol in a way that affects judgment or coordination

  • If I am pregnant, have a heart condition, blood pressure issues, diabetes, epilepsy, respiratory conditions, recent injury or surgery, or any condition affected by heat or cold, I have consulted a medical professional and received clearance

I understand that I am solely responsible for monitoring my physical limits and choosing when to enter or exit the sauna or cold plunge.

NO SUPERVISION / NO MEDICAL OVERSIGHT

I acknowledge that Sauna Party experiences may be self-guided and that:

  • No medical professionals or lifeguards are present

  • Sauna Party staff do not provide supervision, monitoring, or emergency medical care

  • I am responsible for my own decisions and actions during participation

OVERNIGHT & UNATTENDED RENTALS (IF APPLICABLE)

For private or overnight rentals, I acknowledge and agree that:

  • The sauna may be used without Sauna Party staff present

  • I assume full responsibility for safe operation, monitoring, and shutdown of the sauna during the rental period

  • I am responsible for fire safety, ventilation awareness, and ensuring the sauna is used appropriately

  • Sauna Party is not responsible for injuries, damages, or incidents occurring during unattended use

Responsibility transfers to the renter once the unit is delivered, set, and operational.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION

In exchange for participation, I knowingly and voluntarily release, waive, and forever discharge:

Stephanie MacDonald, DBA Sauna Party, including owners, contractors, staff, volunteers, vendors, site hosts, venue partners, and equipment providers,

from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, or causes of action, including injury, illness, property damage, or death, arising out of my participation, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sauna Party from any claim brought by me or on my behalf.

EQUIPMENT & PROPERTY RESPONSIBILITY

I agree that I will:

  • Use all equipment as instructed

  • Not move, modify, or tamper with any equipment

  • Accept financial responsibility for damage caused by misuse or negligence, including repair or replacement costs

HOST / SITE RESPONSIBILITIES (IF APPLICABLE)

If I am hosting or renting Sauna Party equipment, I agree that I am responsible for:

  • Safe placement and access for the sauna trailer

  • Snow and ice removal or safe walking surfaces as needed

  • Providing required water or power access if agreed upon

  • Ensuring all participants sign this waiver before use

NO REFUNDS

All bookings, rentals, and event participation fees are non-refundable.

PHOTO & MEDIA RELEASE

I understand that Sauna Party documents experiences for marketing and promotional purposes.

By participating, I grant permission for my image, likeness, voice, or presence to be photographed or recorded and used across marketing platforms without compensation.

If I prefer not to be photographed, I will notify staff prior to participation.

MINORS

Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign this Agreement. No exceptions.

GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT & ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE

By entering my first and last name and email address, and by selecting “Agree & Continue”, I acknowledge and agree that:

  • I have read and fully understand this Liability Waiver & Participant Release

  • I am voluntarily choosing to participate in Sauna Party experiences

  • I accept and assume all risks, known and unknown

  • I am solely responsible for my participation and personal safety

I understand and agree that my typed name and email address constitute my legal electronic signature, that this Agreement is legally binding, and that it is enforceable to the same extent as a handwritten signature.
